Although I have been painting existential themes through abstract expressionism, this is a new exploration in that I am using a square format on canvas through the use of acrylic pigment. I m also expressing the concept of "history" of existence and "history" of the painting itself (ie the concept of Pentimento - the presence or emergence of previous images) There exists a parallel process in the "history of our lives and the history of a painting, which can both emerge and fade over time.
